01

Our commitment

Papillon promotes equality, fairness, dignity and respect in employment, contracting and service delivery. We do not tolerate unlawful discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, bullying or victimisation.

This commitment covers age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race including nationality and ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation, together with other characteristics protected by applicable law.

02

Inclusive services and workplace

  • Recruit, allocate, pay, train and develop people using fair and relevant criteria.
  • Provide reasonable adjustments and accessible communication for disabled applicants, workers and service users.
  • Use inclusive, respectful language while preserving accuracy, speaker meaning and client-approved terminology.
  • Consider legitimate privacy, cultural, faith, dialect, gender and accessibility needs when matching linguists, without stereotyping or unlawful discrimination.
  • Design digital and language services to reduce avoidable barriers and support meaningful access.
03

Reporting and action

Concerns may be raised through management, customer-care, complaints, safeguarding, whistleblowing or Freedom to Speak Up routes. We investigate fairly, protect people from victimisation and take proportionate corrective, contractual or disciplinary action where concerns are upheld.

04

Monitoring

Papillon reviews recruitment, allocation, complaints, accessibility and training information proportionately and lawfully to identify barriers and improvement. Personal data used for equality monitoring is minimised, protected and separated from selection decisions where appropriate.
