We will listen
Everyone delivering work for Papillon should feel safe to speak up about anything that could affect service-user safety, care, quality, culture, governance or public confidence. A speaking-up concern does not need to meet the legal test for whistleblowing to be heard.
What you can raise
- Unsafe practice, safeguarding, discrimination, bullying, harassment or a culture that silences concerns.
- Poor quality, avoidable delay, inaccurate language support or barriers affecting patient or service-user access.
- Confidentiality, data security, financial integrity, conflicts of interest or governance concerns.
- Ideas for improving systems, learning, accessibility or the experience of people using services.
Routes and confidentiality
Speak to the Managing Director or email stevekent@papillontranslations.com with ‘Freedom to Speak Up – Confidential’. You may speak openly, confidentially or anonymously. We will explain how the information will be used and protect your identity as far as possible, while recognising that serious safety, safeguarding or legal duties may require limited disclosure.
For work delivered to an NHS organisation, a worker may also use that organisation’s Freedom to Speak Up Guardian or policy. A qualifying external concern within NHS England’s remit may be raised through its published route. Personal employment grievances are handled through the appropriate grievance or contractual process, although any wider public-interest issue will still be considered.
Our response
We will thank the person, assess immediate risk, decide who should review the matter, keep an appropriate record and provide updates and feedback where possible. Retaliation or attempts to silence a person are unacceptable. Themes and learning are reviewed without exposing identities unnecessarily.
